Another paperback that is available for purchase is the Hot Dads: The DILF Anthology edited by Lori Perkins.  Check it out here.

Manic Readers has a review of Hot Dads: The DILF Anthology.  Read the whole thing here.

My favorite part of the review:

"Moving In With My Employer
Ralph desperately needs a live-in nanny to help him take care of his two sons. What will he do when Gina, a woman he had a past relationship with, applies for the job?

Ms. Jen Bluekissed brings us a story about lovers with a prior relationship and what happens when they are given a second chance. There is a scene so hot in this story it might singe your eyelids."

October has been such a fun month, and it's only halfway over!  Happy reading!

P.S. I'm gearing up for NaNoWriMo in November.  Yes.  One of these days you'll see an actual NOVEL from me.  I do write those too, though I do love a great short story.

Our First Review: I KISSED A GIRL ANTHOLOGY
2009.08.27 02:59:37

Review - I Kissed a Girl: A Virgin Lesbian Anthology by Regina Perry, et al

Rating: You Gotta Read
Reviewed By: Roberta

You’ve heard Katy Perry’s hit song, now read enticing stories of heterosexual women exploring new boundaries. College dormitories become breeding grounds of inquisitive minds and libidos with roommates discovering desire for each other as they relate past experiences, undress in each other’s presence, seek refuge from a storm, discover a dildo or share men. Continuing life’s path, ingenious women find ways to enhance marriage or the workplace. Champagne cellars, riding stables, tanning salons, even historical English bedchambers become hotbeds of lesbian experiments. Converting or not, all embrace the journey of sexual exploration.

Warning: Stories contained within this anthology may elicit arousal, regardless of sexual persuasion.

This contains twelve very diverse stories of lesbian experiences and discoveries. The twelve authors who contributed these hot and steamy stories knew what they were doing in arousing one's sexual interest.

This book is what erotic writing is all about. It is about exploring ones own sexual interest and finding what gets them aroused. It might not be something you would do in real life. However, you enjoy reading about it.

I highly recommend this for all avid readers of erotica or for those willing to explore a new genre. I am sure with all the stories there will be something for you to enjoy. My thanks goes out to all the talented authors who opened me up to a new way at looking at the female body.

Release date: Aug. 27!!

The Recent Court Decision In Iowa
2009.04.11 23:17:16

I'm originally from Iowa, so my eyes and ears perked when I heard about the recent lift on the gay marriage ban in Iowa.  Since I'm working on a handful of m/m and f/f pieces at the moment, I thought I'd share a few tidbits of info.  Lots of the national news agencies are reporting through the AP on different angles of the story.  What I'd like to share are some links of my hometown newspaper (The Telegraph Herald) and the newspaper of the most recent town in Iowa where I lived prior to moving to Tennessee (The Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier). The Des Moines Register has recently run enough stories on the issue that they now have a quick link at the top of their home page devoted to the gay marriage issue.

I especially like this article and the picture :)

The whole issue is a heated one on both sides.  To be honest, I was surprised the court lifted the ban, because Iowa is a fairly conservative state.  The more articles I've read on the issue, the more I've also appreciated that Iowa is a fairly liberal state as well in terms of civil rights.  Iowa was the first state to allow women to take the bar exam and practice law, the first state to desegregate schools, and one of the first states to strike down slavery laws.

As a part of my research, I have also recently discovered that gay marriage is totally legal in Spain, giving gay couples exactly the same rights as straight couples.  I studied in Santiago de Compostela, Spain (in the autonomous region of Galicia) in 2001.  I also have a B.A. in Spanish, so I'm not sure how I missed the news in 2005 when gay marriage was legalized in Spain.  I'm currently working on a m/m BDSM pirate short story set in Galicia between newlyweds.  :)

Jincey Lumpkin, Esq.
Cherry

Hi there, I'm Jincey Lumpkin, Esq., and I'm breaking my cherry here at Ravenous Romance.  I'm not new to blogging.  In fact, I write quite often at my own site, DigiRomp.com.  Feel free to click on over and read more- if you're a lady who likes ladies.  Otherwise, you've got to pony up and buy my books here.  ;)

Lately I've been rekindling my love affair with steamy French cinema.  I watched Romance last night for the second time.

Photobucket

I saw it five or six years ago, but back then I found the story a bit scary- the S&M aspects seemed very edgy to me then.  Now it looks mild!

I love the way French films show women in all their complexity.  It's so far from this American airbrushed romance we're used to.  The truth is that we are beautifully complex.  I want to write about women who don't always make the right choice.
