Yesterday at Nashville Pride at Riverfront Park in Nashville, I had a blast!  Not only did I have the opportunity to speak with a lot of friendly, neat people, but the music was awesome!  I think my vendor booth had one of the best locations because I was directly in front of the stage at the top of the hill looking down onto the stage and the Cumberland River

Here's a picture of me setting up:

There were a few aspects of the day I would have done differently though.  Check out my shoes in the next picture.

I'm one of these people who practically glows in the dark, my skin is so light.  Prepared to fight the 105 degree heat index and sun, I lathered up in sunscreen from head to toe, or so I thought.  Check out my feet later in the day when I got home.

Rewind to what the setup looked like:

MY FEET WERE UNDER THE TABLE FOR 10 HOURS!!!  I'm still baffled they were fried.  After about an hour, the sun moved enough that my table was in the shade for the remaining 9 hours.  The whole setup was under a nice tent.  The people who showed up and sat in the sun fron 11 to 6 for the music and festivities were to be commended.  The heat was brutal.  Remember, I'm not originally from the South.  I'm not used to 95 and 98 degrees with super duper high humidity.  I didn't keep track, but I'm pretty sure I drank 11 or 12 bottles of water.  Who needs a sauna to lose weight?  Just stand outside in the Tennessee summer sun, right?  :)

I'm working on my first email newsletter to be sent out today or tomorrow.  If you don't live in Nashville and/or couldn't make it to Pridefest and you still want the 3 FREE short stories I handed out on CD as well as news and updates about my releases, shoot me an email at jenbluekissed[at]gmail[dot]com.
