Ravenous Romance was founded by three longtime publishing professionals who saw a need in the marketplace for high-quality, sensual romance at reasonable prices—and without the lag time, limitations, and waste of traditional print publishing.

Ravenous Romance has been featured in The New York Times, The Sunday Times of London, Publishers Weekly, Galleycat, and Romantic Times, as well as in other national and international media.

Our Story

Lori Perkins, a New York-based literary agent, and Holly Schmidt and Allan Penn, owners of book packager Hollan Publishing, decided to join forces to create a new kind of genre fiction publishing company. All three of us were fascinated by the opportunities afforded by the digital space and the quality of available talent, and Ravenous Romance was born.

The plan was to take the tenets of mass-market publishing—high volume, low cost—and bring it into the digital age with high-quality ebooks and digital audiobooks, all at affordable prices. We were able to persuade some of our favorite writers (some best-selling and award-winning ones among them) to join us, and we also invited many talented new voices on board. We designed a website with features we hope give readers the escape they deserve at prices they can afford.

Our Mission

• Great Stories, Well-Told. Ravenous Romance books are authored by serious writers, some with long, successful publishing histories and some just publishing their first books. The books are edited by skilled professionals to ensure our readers get a pleasurable and consistent reading experience.

• Audiobooks. We offer audiobooks for many of our novels, enabling readers to listen to these great books while they work out, commute, or travel.

• Low, simple prices. Our prices are incredible—every Ravenous Rendezvous short story is $1.99, every novel is $4.99, and every audiobook is $12.99.
