Hello? Did anyone else cringe when they read about the poor captain who couldn't do her job because she caught her lover with another woman? She hid
in her cabin and then got drunk. I would expect a woman who was selected to be captain of a ship to be braver and more self reliant.

I'm not the best at reviews, but I had to take the time to write this one. rnrnI spent a while reading this book because I didn't want it to end. This
is one of the most creative, innovative, and intelligent books I've read in a very long time. There are parts of the plot that make you think "So
THAT'S how they would do that!" (i.e. inter-species alien sex... wow!) The characters are very easy to relate to as real people; not at all like
someone just created them out of their own mind. Believable. Everything about this book is completely, totally, and utterly believable.rnrnThe sex
scenes are definitely just as smart as the rest of the book, and I am one who prefers a hot read as opposed to looking at a magazine when it comes to
erotic stimulation of the mind. But in my opinion, if they (the sex scenes) were taken out, the book would still be just as phenomenal as it
is.rnrnAlthough I sometimes wished while reading that there could have been more detail in certain chapters. Think as if a whole season of Star Trek
were compressed into 177 pages... that is a great way to describe it. There are so many opportunities for extended detail that probably aren't
possible with the length constraints of an e-book.rnrnI do have *one* slight beef with it though... the editing. Who ever did the final edit of this
book was not on their game. Have you ever found a misspelled or incongruous word use in a famous book and just wanted to call someone and yell? Well,
that happened to me a few times reading this, and it almost led to a 4 star rating. But I know that wouldn't be fair to the author, so I left it as I
felt it should be. Unfortunately it takes you out of the fiction for a little bit, but it's always easy to get back into it.rnrnOverall, I loved the
book, and if there were a sequel I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I'm off to read another book by Ms. Lane as I am very impressed with her and hope to see
more from her soon.

I've never seen "Star Trek" before though Lisa did mention that she came up with this book and the world that it is set in on that old
televation show. This is a novel that I recommend to everyone to give a try because if you don't you are totally missing out. Lisa Lane delivers a
wonderfully intriguing, suspenseful and highly erotic romance novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat and wanting more even after the novel
ends.

Rating:
This novel has both the intelligent sensuality of Anais Nin’s writings as well as the provocative exploration of the works of Kurt Vonnegut. It is
witty, insightful, and extraordinarily arousing. I recommend this book to any who enjoy a smart, sexy read.

Rating:
I recommend "Lust in Space" to any reader seeking quality science fiction that ranks right alongside the brilliance of "Star
Trek." Ms. Lane tells a tale that is sexy and intelligent, and follows characters that are both likeable and easy to get involved with. This book
is a definite page-turner that ends too soon! I guarantee any reader will be left wanting more!
