The first story in Ravenous Romance’s 12 Days of Christmas series!

Sarah has found herself alone in Vermont for the holidays. New to the area, her only friend is a wild songbird who keeps her company throughout the day with his sweet whistling.
Raised Jewish, but forever covetous of the decorations of the holiday, Sarah decides to celebrate Christmas with her very first tree. The spirit of decorating takes over, and she finds herself stringing lights outside when her holiday cheer is shattered by the the startling report of a hunter’s shotgun.

Suddenly, Sarah must defend her favorite partridge from certain doom. But in order to do so, she must offer the hunter a different prize, one that is sure to warm him on a cold winter’s evening!

About the Author

Dahlia Schweitzer

"We have a crush on Dahlia," declares Penthouse. "The Queen of Berlin's electro scene," according to London DJ Mark Moore. Described by Vogue as "sexy, rebellious and cool," Dahlia is a writer, performer, photographer, and general provocateur. Best described as electro-cabaret, Dahlia's unique theatrical style of performance is reminiscent of Dietrich - if Dietrich had done post-punk electrodisco. With her unique combination of contemporary sound, old-fashioned aesthetics, and conceptual art, she has performed to critical acclaim throughout Europe and the United States. Her books are published by Random House, HarperCollins, and Ravenous Romance, and her photographs have been exhibited in Berlin, New York, and London. Dahlia Schweitzer spent most of her life in New York and Tel Aviv, where she lived, loved, and worked as a writer, artist, and photographer. But it was in Berlin where she found fame, transforming herself into a singing, dancing, stripteasing queen of electro-cabaret. Now Dahlia lives in Los Angeles, where she currently teaches English and writing.
