Cynthia W. Gentry

Cynthia W. Gentry is the co-author, with her husband Nima Badiey, of What Men Really Want in Bed: The Surprising Facts Men Wish Women Knew About Sex. She's also the author of The Bedside Orgasm Book: 365 Days of Sexual Ecstasy, and wrote the erotica for David Ramsdale's Red Hot Tantra: Erotic Secrets of Red Tantra for Intimate, Soul-to-Soul Sex and Ecstatic, Enlightened Orgasms. Her book Secret Seductions will be published in April. In the meantime, she's hard at work on What Women Really Want in Bed, with co-author Dana Fredsti. When not writing about sex, she blogs about movies, sex, parenting and infertility (not necessarily in that order) at The Mind Reels, at the-mind-reels.blogspot.com. She's the Sex Books and Products Expert for Lootist.com. Gentry's short fiction has appeared in Area i, The Montserrat Review and Reed Magazine. Her essay "Following Anais: How I Rediscovered My Libido in A Single Night" appeared in the anthology HerStory: What I Learned in My Bathtub...and More True Stories on Life, Love, And Other Inconveniences. She has covered film festivals for indiWIRE.com and has written for the Literary Arts section of SFStation.com. Gentry has a master's degree in journalism from the University of California at Berkeley, where she was the recipient of the Edna Kinard Prize, the Alfred & Ruth Thompson Perassolo Scholarship and a Regent's Fellowship. She graduated with departmental honors from Stanford University with a bachelor of arts degree in English. She lives in Northern California with her husband and son.
