Call for Submissions
We are currently looking for new voices and story-tellers to write erotic romance for our newly established company. Every book must be a "dirty" romance, with a great love story and passionate, explicit sex. While our stories do not have to end happily- ever- after, we want the fantasy of "happy-for-now" in every ending.
All our stories must have a beginning, middle and end and characters with whom our readers can identify. We're looking for great storytelling, with interesting plots and carefully-crafted writing. Sex scenes are important, but they should be used to move the plot forward and to develop the characters as integral parts of the story. The book should stand alone as a great story without the sex scenes, but the sex scenes should serve to make the story better and the characters more interesting.
We prefer to promote safe sex, unless it conflicts with a fantasy element in the story (e.g. time period or characters that make condoms irrelevant, like the Middle Ages and werewolves, respectively) or the author has other good reasons to leave condoms out (e.g. it's in keeping with the characters' other behavior).
Our novels run approximately 50,000 words or 200 pages, no exceptions.
Our short stories run between 10 and 25 pages or between 2,500 and 6,250 words.

Submission Guidelines
Email queries and submissions should be one page. Each should include the author's name, mailing address, phone number and email address, as well as a brief description of the work, followed by the author's estimation of where the work fits into our publishing program. The author should also include a brief summation of his or her writing credentials, if applicable.
Please submit one query for each piece of work you wish us to review.

New Age Romance
Our characters find love through astrology, tarot, I Ching, feng shui, etc.
Environmental Erotica
In this category, the heroine is always concerned with the health of the environment, and she is looking for and finding love in all the wrong places, and saving the environment while she's doing it.
Chick Lit
This is our contemporary romance category, where our heroine faces the romantic zeitgeist and finds the man of her dreams in the most unlikely places.
Paranormal
In this category, we are looking for stories about every supernatural beings and the women/men who love them.
Celebrity Romance
This category addresses every woman's fantasy of a night with a famous celebrity, rock star or athlete. The identities of the celebrities must be thinly veiled and fictionalized, but with recognizable tip-offs.
Patriotic Love
These romance novels feature men and women of the armed forces and other patriotic themes.
Romantic Suspense
In this category, our heroines find themselves solving crimes and pursued by their passions and fears.
Hen Lit
These heroines have made a misstep or two in love and life, but they're ready to show the world that they've learned from these mistakes and are ready to realize more love and passion than they ever thought possible.
Erotic Memoir
This series features first- person accounts of real-life love, life and survival.
Multicultural
We aim to show how the meeting-- and sometimes clashing-- of cultures makes for better romance, recipes and friendships.
Kinky/Edgy
These stories are an uninhibited exploration of the sexual boundaries men and women can explore together.
Historical Romance
These romances may be set everywhere from the Civil War to the Summer of Love and Victorian England.
Real Man Romance
A category where our readers can get swept off their feet by every-day heroes: cops, fireman, lumberjacks, and other strong, manly men.
LGBT Love
Our gay, lesbian and bisexual category. We are looking for everything.
We are NOT Looking For:
Old-fashioned non-sexual romance.
Although we publish short stories, we do not publish poetry or novellas.
We are not interested in seeing fiction in any other genre.
We Do NOT Publish
Anything with pedophilia, which involves sexual situations between adults and children. We are not interested in "barely legal" situations either.
Anything with necrophilia, which is sex with a truly dead body. If your vampires and zombies are having sex (with the living or each other), it better be lively.
Anything with bestiality, which is sex with animals. Sentient beings, shapeshifters, centaurs, etc. must be adequately anthropomorphized.
We are feminists, and are really not interested in reading about rape or incest. This might be necessary as part of a sexual memoir, but its place in a story should never be to arouse.

Yes, we will send you a contract within 6 weeks.
What rights will you buy?
World rights in all formats. We will work to sell your subsidiary rights to a traditional print publisher on your behalf, as well as in translation throughout the world. We will pay you a percentage of any subsidiary-rights sale.
How soon after my work is accepted will it be published?
Under normal circumstances, within 3 to 6 months after acceptance.
Will you publish a print edition of my book?
No. If your book stands out, we will try to place it with a traditional print publisher.
How often will I get royalty payments?
You'll get your first royalty check at the end of the calendar quarter after publication, and quarterly after that. .
I have a friend who's an artist. Can he do my cover?
No, we have a very special look and we want our books to be recognizable to our readers. Our art department has years of experience in this field and knows how to create a cover image that will make readers want to buy your book.
