I'm in the process of writing three short stories for Nashville Pride.  Each story has approximately 5,000 words and if read together will form a novella of sorts.  Because Nashville Pride on June 20th is an event celebrating pride, my free stories will be centered around the LGBT community.  One story will be male/male, one story will be female/female, and one story will be straight.

I've completed the male/male story.  The title of it is "Skywalk."  I'm almost finished with the female/female story.  The working title of that one is "Hot Stuff."  I'll be working on the male/female story later this week.

If you don't live within traveling distance of Nashville, TN but you want a free story trio (I'm not going to post to this blog as an incentive for people to come and see me on June 20th), consider signing up for my newsletter. There's a form on www.jenbluekissederotica.blogspot.com for you to sign up.

I don't believe in spamming, so the newsletter will only be sent out when one of three things happens.

1) I have free stories to give away
2) I intend to be at a public event for you to meet me
3) A new story releases through my publisher

If you don't feel like giving me your email address, feel free to create a new one through a free site like gmail, hotmail, or yahoo.

I'll be pasting the stories directly into the body of an email.  Attachments are evil.  I don't open them and I hope you don't open them from people you don't know either.

P.S. www.jenbluekissed.com is almost ready.  Just fixing a few last minute bugs.  I intend to have it up and running before June 20th, hopefully much sooner.

Call for Submission...Lasting Love Anthology
2009.01.19 01:55:04

I've had some excellent submissions for this. One is from a fresh new writing voice who comes across as romantic and masculine and funny all at once. This guy knows what he's doing!! He loves romance, and loves women and loves writing about love that can stand the tests of time. And there are still a few openings for other stories, too. When it comes to creative possibilities, the sky is the limit with this anthology. I've posted the same call here, too: http://www.ryan-field.blogspot.com.

Lasting Love

Editor: Ryan Field

Publisher RavenousRomance.com

Deadline: February 14, 2009

Romance author Ryan Field is editing an anthology titled, "Lasting Love," for ravenousromance.com that deals with couples who have been together a long time. Looking for short stories, or essays, that range from 2,000 - 5,000 words, about couples who have lasted. This could include married couples, or unmarried couples; just as long as they have been together for more than five years. Ages could range from couples who were high school sweethearts, now in their mid-twenties, to couples in their early fifties. This is mainly hetero, but a few same sex couple stories will be considered. The hotter the better, but the storyline and quality of writing has to be strong, and the characters have to be well developed and believable.
The romantic aspects of this are unlimited, and it's a chance to write about a topic that offers many creative possibilities.

Submission deadline is February 14, 2009. E-mail your completed stories to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it in MS Word format. Include all contact info on the first page of the ms, including pen name and real name. Payment: A pro rata share of a 38% e-book, 15% audiobook, and 50% subsidiary rights royalty. And an advance of 10.00.

About the Editor: Ryan Field is a 35 year old freelance writer who lives and works in both New Hope, PA and Los Angeles, CA. His work has appeared in many books and anthologies over the past fifteen years, published by Cleis Press, STARbooks Press, Alyson Books, and others including well known print magazines and e-books.
